Playing Catch Up

Instead of doing lots of little posts, I'm going to play catch up in one big post to show you some of the things I've been doing and people I've been hanging with in the last week or so! You may call me lazy, but I think I'm being quite efficient! So, here goes nothin' . . .

First of all, a couple of Saturdays ago, we ran into one of Mom's old friends at church...Mary (Coridan) Kendall. She and her hubby, Charlie, were in town to watch Mary's sister, Anna, play basketball for Sunnydale Academy! On Saturday evening, we all went to El Toro for Mexican food (I had rice, peas, and pears) and then went over to the gym to watch Anna play b-ball! It was a fun time and I always love meeting new people!!

Last Wednesday, Mommy and I went shopping with our neighbors, Avery and her Mommy, Noel. It was a really nice day, so we shopped at South Pointe Pavillion, which is an outdoor mall.

Last Friday, Mommy and I took 18 orders of Jimmy John's sandwiches up to Dad and his co-workers. We stayed and had lunch there. What a fun group of people!!

Saturday night we got some snow that made the trees really pretty, so I'll just throw in a pic of that...it doesn't really do it justice, but it's kinda cool...this is the huge tree in our backyard.

Sunday, I went to Portrait Innovations for my 6 month pics...it wore me out, so I took a cat nap on Daddy's shoulder. But believe me, I was up in time to enjoy dinner with my folks at Red Robin!

On Monday, Mommy and I went to visit my friends Cadence and Chandler (they're twins). I just love hanging out with other kids, and playing with new toys is always a bonus!

And finally, I'll end with some random cute pictures. :)

In this picture, I look just like my daddy when he was a kid! (If you weren't already convinced that I look just like my dad.)

I LOVE to feed myself. Check me out with Zwieback toast!

This is what happens when I attempt to feed myself with a spoon!! Still picture worthy though!

Mommy and Me...and the camera string

Whatta ya think? Have I just about grown out of my infant seat? Good thing Mom is getting an appointment next week for having a convertible car seat installed!
THE END!!!
(until the next post)

Enjoying the Nicer Weather!!!

On Tuesday, the temperatures got into the 50s, so it was off to the park for Mommy and me. Lucky for us, Mahoney Park is just down the street from our house. I think we'll be spending A LOT of time there as the weather gets even better!!

Looking at the water on the bridge leading into the park

On the hike/bike trail that goes thru the park

Just loving the warmer weather

All the fresh air put me right to sleep

All Ready for Church!

Visiting Grand Island

Last Friday, Mommy took me to visit my boys, Cam and Jack! We got to spend most of the day with Cam and his mommy, Cara since Cara had the day off of work. Jack and his mommy, Amy came over after Amy got off work. Tia Trish came to visit me a couple of times during the day too!! Mommy and I both had so much fun seeing everyone...we sure do miss you Grand Island folks!! We'll try to make the trip more often!!
(For some reason, Blogger isn't letting me move the pics around, so to see my day in order, start at the bottom.) :-)

Cam and I get a wrestling match in before Mom and I hit the road (remember, this should be the LAST picture). :)

Sittin' around with Jack-Jack

And then there were three! And, very appropriately, Jack has his Heart Breaker shirt on!

Cam has cool toys AND a dog to play with!

Cam and I enjoyed lunch at Sutter Deli with our mommies...note: I attempted to indulge in Cara's salad!!

Good to see you Buddy!

Cam welcomes me to his home

My 6 Month Doctor Appointment

On Thursday, February 8, I had my 6 month appointment and immunizations with Dr. Petersen. She continues to be happy with my growth and development. Here are my stats this time around:
  • I weigh 18 lbs. 13 oz. (75th%)
  • I am 28 1/2 inches long (90th%)

Dr. Petersen gave the go ahead to start some finger foods since I'm sitting up, and she told mom to feed me solid foods 3 times per day. As far as me still waking up 2 times a night, she was okay with that, but told Mom that if it's still happening in a month or two that they should give me 4 oz. water in a bottle and that's it. I did sleep from 8 p.m.-4:30 a.m. last night and then went back to bed until about 7:00 a.m. I know I've gotten my parents' hopes up before with long sleeps like that...you all will have to wait and see if that is something I'll really do regularly! I'll just say it's a long shot. :)

Here's a pic of me with my awesome pediatrician, Dr. Petersen!

Superbowl XLI

Yesterday I enjoyed my first Superbowl (well, the first half anyway)! Of course my Dad would have been happy if his Miami Dolphins were playing in their stadium, but a certain QB (we won't name names) made that an impossibility! During the playoffs Mom and I were really pulling for the Saints, especially after our visit down south...New Orleans is still dealing with a ton of devestation a year and a half after Hurricane Katrina, and we thought it would have been great for them to have their team go all the way! So, Dad, Mom, and I didn't really have a favorite for this Superbowl (neither did Uncle Jacob or Reiny), making it all about watching the commercials (I'm gonna agree with Grandma Cheryl that the Blockbuster commercial was pretty hilarious) and eating yummy food (maybe next year I'll get in on that)! :) Anyways, before the game, Dad made the prediction that the Colts would win it by 17...not TOO far off Dad!! The Colts won 29-17!

My Newest Skill!!!

The last couple of days, I've really started to master this thing called sitting. My parents are excited, but while I like this new perspective on my world, I'd still rather get onto my tummy where I can move myself around to get to my toys. Check me out...

A Visit from the Hogans!!

Saturday, February 3, 2007

Today we had special visitors from Omaha...Jeremy, Maren, Jack, Quinlan, and Rocky came to spend the afternoon with us! Rock and I are only 6 weeks apart! I had so much fun hanging out with all of them, especially Rocky! :) Come visit us again soon Hogans!! We all loved having you!

Hanging out with Rock's mom Maren before lunch

Quinlan entertains me while I jump. I can tell this guy is a big brother!
"How's it goin' Rocky?"
"Daddy, he took my keys!!"
"Hey, mind if I take those back?"

"You're too cool Rock. Get your parents to bring you to play again soon, k?"
