Being Thankful 2011

Psalm 107:1

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.

It's that time of year again! And we have decided to share our thankfuls again this year. We'll update this post each day in response to the question, "What are you thankful for today? What makes you happy?"

Dax:

1. I'm thankful that I learned to ride my two wheel bike without training wheels!
2. God

3. I'm thankful for going for walks.

4. I'm thankful for getting a hair cut.

5. Because we have Jesus.

6. I'm thankful for leaves and clouds and my brothers and that I got to ride my two-wheel bike and mow the lawn today.

7. I'm thankful for going to get the plywood for our tractor.

8. I love Jesus. And I'm thankful for Backyardigans.

9. I'm thankful for my mama!

10. I'm thankful for the sunshine today!
11. I'm thankful for playing outside!
12. I'm thankful for the sun.
13. I'm thankful for Jesus and Mommy. I know I've said that before, but I think that'll be my thankful from now on.
14. I'm thankful for the turkeys we have up there (the refrigerator).
15. I'm thankful that Jesus died on the cross for us.
16. I'm thankful for our family!
17. I'm thankful for walking up to Red Barn.
18. I'm thankful for the weekend coming up.
19. I'm thankful that Uncle Jer got to be here.
20. I'm thankful for the sun.

21. I'm thankful that Daddy gets a lot of days off this weekend.
22. I'm thankful that we got to hang out with Grammy today.
23. I'm thankful for apples.

Ian:

14. I'm thankful for my turkey that I made.

Discovering our new Children's Museum!

With the rainy season kicking in here in the Pacific Northwest, we decided we'd better visit our local Children's Museum. We weren't disappointed and decided a membership would be a smart choice for some indoor entertainment this winter!

Fall Art!

Mommy's plan was to make our traditional hand print autumn trees, but we didn't stop at that. We painted pumpkins, did apple prints and painted our own fall pictures!

Our Red Barn

Since moving into our new house, we have discovered a fun little farm/store only a half mile from us. On sunny days, we love to walk up there and play with their wagons, peek at the piglets, goats and roosters, and climb around on hay bales. We always leave with something yummy from the store...everything they sell is grown or made locally!

Bi-Zi Farms

A few weekends ago, we were blessed to have our amazing friends, The Carlsons, come up for a whirlwind visit. We had an awesome time hanging out with them, but the highlight (or at least the place where the camera got the most use) was the pumpkin patch at Bizi Farms!
