Music and Mozzarella

Daddy finally got to join us for Music and Mozzarella this week! He's been in class all summer, so he's missed out on our fun Thursday evenings at the Lincoln Children's Museum. Unfortunately, this was the last one for the summer. We've really enjoyed it!

Playtime in Utica!

Last Tuesday, Kate and Hannah hosted a playgroup at their house. So, we drove out to Utica for some fun!

Ryder and I check out the toy tractor

Checking out the REAL tractor

This is SO cool!!

Playing on the floor with Hannah...we're getting to be so big!!

Stopping for a break with Kate

Swimming at the Utica pool

We love the zero-entry at the Utica pool. Even I got to sit and splash in the water!

Just loungin' in the pool; catchin' some rays!

Some Unexpected Visitors!!

Last Monday, we got a surprise phone call from our friend Jessy. She and her family decided, last minute, to drive from San Antonio to Lincoln to be here for the birth of the newest Carlson cousin. So, we got to see them for a couple hours. What a great surprise!!!

More Randomness

Here are just a few more random pics and a video for your enjoyment.

Sharing a refreshing snack...frozen fruit in a mesh feeder! And it feels so good when you're teething!
Playing with shaving cream in the tub...fun stuff, plus Mommy got to clean the bathroom while I played!

Mommy caught me in a rare moment of sitting still. That doesn't happen much these days!!

Our Fabulous Visit with GG and Carly!

Last Wednesday, we went to Eppley Airfield in Omaha to pick up some very special visitors from Louisiana...GG and Carly came to visit for a few days and we could not have had a better time!! We packed a lot in between Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning. We made lots of fun memories and you can be sure that Mommy caught it all on camera. There are lots of pics of all the many things we did, so enjoy!!

Here are some pics of us just enjoying our time together at home Wednesday evening and Thursday morning...

On Thursday evening, we met up with Uncle JJ and went to the Children's Museum for some playing and Music and Mozzarella!

On Friday morning, we headed to the Lincoln Children's Zoo. We saw all the animals and then had a yummy picnic lunch. And Carly was the lucky one that got to go on the train with me at the end...always the highlight of the zoo!

Back at home on Friday afternoon...it was a hot day, so Carly and I cooled off in the pool.

And I snagged Carly for a little time playing on the floor.
Here are GG and I making "special cookies" (shortbread). It was so fun to be able to help her make it, and boy did it taste good too!! Yummy!!

On Friday evening, Daddy took us all out to Fireworks for dinner. It was such a nice time and Daddy was so happy to be done with his summer class Final. He's free for about a month before he starts his next MBA class!

Saturday morning, GG read us a book that she gave me (Dax) before I was even born. I love the book (All Things Bright and Beautiful) and it was special that GG got to read it to us in person!

We all had a picnic at Holmes Lake on Saturday afternoon after Sabbath School. Of course we had Jimmy Johns to eat! They gave us the food in a box since they couldn't fit it all into bags. :) We had fun playing in the box after we ate.

After naps on Saturday afternoon, we showed GG and Carly our playground at Mahoney Park.

Here we are taking advantage of a little more quality time with GG and Carly on Sunday morning before heading back to the airport.

I got to go along to the airport with Mommy. We had lunch with GG and Carly and watched out the big window for airplanes! Fun!

We were all sad to see GG and Carly go.

We had such a wonderful time! Please come again anytime!! Thanks for coming to hang out with us!!! Love, Dax and Ian
