Father's Day '09

Father's Day was a wonderful day! Our intention was to make Daddy breakfast in bed, but we have a wonderful daddy who decided he'd rather spend the extra couple hours with us than stay in bed! So, we got out on an early morning walk with Daddy while Mommy made a yummy breakfast for all of us, including omelets, strawnana bread, veggie sausage, and OJ! Instead of a card this year, we picked out rocks to paint for Daddy. Now, he has them on his desk at work. We spent time outside flying kites and in the swimming pool, and then headed to one of our favorite places, Red Robin, for Daddy's Day dinner!! Oh, and we can't forget the lawn mower cupcakes we made...Daddy isn't a huge sweet tooth, but lawn mowing is a special event that we share weekly (if not more when I, Dax, can convince him!), so we thought it was a fun idea! You can be sure the rest of us helped him eat them! ;)

Summer Fun

It's been HOT and HUMID around here, so we've been spending as much time as possible in the water! Luckily, we got a new pool a couple weeks ago that is big enough for Mommy and Daddy to fit in too! Mommy is especially glad about that because she says our baby bro or sis is making her extra hot! So, here are some pics and a video of our fun outside in the pool, as well as the free sprayground we found here in town! Oh, and the first pic is of me, Dax, thoroughly enjoying one of the many fruit smoothies we've been enjoying...those are great on a hot, summer day too!! :)

A Visit from Uncle Mark-y!

Uncle Mark came to Lincoln last week for a Husker Football Camp, but lucky for us, it only lasted a few days! So, we got to spend a few days of quality time with him! Thanks for hanging out Uncle Mark-y! We had a great time with you!

My obsession with lawn mowers has extended into drawing them. Check out my skills...yes, I drew this picture all by myself! Mom was proud enough to take a picture of my art before I erased it!

28 Weeks...The Third Trimester has Begun!!

At our most recent visit with Carol, everyone got to hear my heart ticking away at 153 and jumping up to 168 beats per minute, which she referred to as an acceleration. Accelerations are indications of a very healthy fetal heart. Mommy is measuring right on track, although she feels like she's much larger than 28 weeks.
