Baby G3 Update!

Mommy is 34 weeks pregnant now. At her appointment on Monday, her blood pressure was in the 150s/90s but after laying down, it dropped to 134/82. She was asked to make a follow-up appointment for the following day in hopes that her BP would drop. In the meantime, we got to see Baby up on the screen again because we wanted to make sure baby was head down, as Mommy's midwife was unsure. According to the u/s, Baby is head down and has some hair on his or her head (we didn't see Baby's face because of the way he or she is turned). Baby is also in the 55th percentile right now which means a weight of somewhere around 5 lbs. 4 oz. Our little bro or sis had a heart rate of about 130 and is very active and healthy!
So, fast forward to Tuesday afternoon when Mom headed back for another BP check. Unfortunately, her pressure was up even higher to 162/102. Her midwife sent her to be admitted at the hospital for BP monitoring and labwork. The plan was for her to be there overnight with the worst case scenario being a baby delivered tomorrow (if it was in the best interest of her health) and the best case scenario being home on strict bedrest. Her BP dropped into the 140/90 range for the most part and all of her labs came back normal!! Baby is active and the BP doesn't appear to be affecting his/her well-being! Mommy's midwife let her come home on strict bedrest (up for bathroom and meals cooked by someone else). Daddy is taking time off work for 2 days and then Grammy will be here to hang out with us and take care of the family! We know that Mommy and Daddy feel truly blessed that Jesus has given us such loving and caring family and friends to support us during this time with thoughts, prayers and offers for help!! We can't wait to meet our brother or sister, but we want him or her to be as healthy and strong as possible, so continue to keep praying that Baby will stay put for at least a few more weeks!!

4th of July Weekend: BBQ and Fireworks!!

4th of July Weekend: Parade!

Continuing on with our 4th events...we enjoyed a parade back in the city that hosted the air show! It was fun, but the candy was definitely the highlight!!!

4th of July Weekend: Air Show!

The day of the 4th was a nice, cool day...perfect to sit outside for an Air Show! We even got to meet up with some of our friends!! What a perfect morning!

4th of July Weekend: Haymarket!

Later Friday evening, we hit the Haymarket for a yummy Lazlo's dinner, Ivanna Cone ice cream, and some climbing around on the trains!

4th of July Weekend: Safari!

We had a busy 3-day weekend, so we'll do a couple of posts. On Friday, Daddy had the day off, so we took the morning to head to the Safari, which is only about 20 minutes from us. This was our first trip there, but I think we'll make this a new outing on occasion. We had a wonderful time driving through the park looking at all the wildlife (we even helped drive), taking a short hike to see a black bear and wolves, and picnicking! It was a great way to start off our long weekend together!

Music and Mozzarella

It's back again this year at the Children's Museum! What better way to spend an evening than eating pizza and dancing! Then there's an extra bonus...the museum stays open late, so we get to play too!!

More Pool Fun!!

A couple weeks ago, we spent the day with our friends Kate and Hannah. They live by a wonderful pool that we most certainly enjoyed...if you can't tell by the pictures! Thanks for a fun day friends!!
