Reading Olympics
Each year at Felida Elementary, students are encouraged to record their reading minutes throughout the school year for a ceremony at the end of the school year where they are awarded medals if they've read enough for their grade level. A local firefighter even comes to award the medals! Kinda fun!

A broken arm...
Our monkey bar lovin' boy fell doing a trick today and ended up with displaced fractures of his distal radius and ulna. So, one year to the day of his last ER visit, we headed there again. :(
First up, one week in a full arm splint and bed rest!
Time for a BLUE full arm cast! And of course, let the signing begin!
After 4 weeks, it was time for a more comfortable short arm cast!
And finally, 2 weeks later, it was time to be done with casts!! A splint for protection for a few weeks and he was good to go!! Doctor was quite happy with the healing of both bones. Next May 13, our boy will be locked away in a padded cell! ;)

Our Family Weekend Getaway
We took the second weekend of Spring Break and had a little family getaway! We headed for Seattle and visited the aquarium and the market. Then we took the ferry over to spend some time in Anacortes, WA. We had such a wonderful time exploring more of the Pacific Northwest and making memories as a family!
